Mother Bhutto
Donna Osborn, America, January 16, 2008

Mars rose with the Moon on the Solstice, dry leaves shivered on the trees...

Will the feeling of doom resist hopelessness as a brave heart is brought to her knees?

Instant the world is connected thru the advance of a warring machine,

While the tribal drums beat rejection and the peace of the lamb feels defeat.

The thunder rolls in the distance... an unholy force blows the wind...

The hate for 'the other' manifesting as the shepherd's blood flows once again

Do the beating of chests in the onslaught hide a deadness lurking inside?

Has the heart turned to stone from the darkness where no holy thing can abide?

Do the powers that rape while they pillage and hide in the black of the night

Not see that the world is uniting, relating to each other's plight?..

The rain falls and drenches the blood spots that were splattered on the passers by

And they drip to the ground that she walked on as the flames of their grief touch the sky.

The last words on her lips were for Allah, the sacrifice was made with her blood.

Will the consciousness rise from this letting, will the loss of her life be for good?

Will they rise for what they believe in as another One stands in her place?

Will they look closer the next time and see God reflecting His grace?

Will the Lord come again from Her pleaing? Will the soldiers be surprised at His guise?

Will the dry leaves catch fire with His glancing...As they see all are One in His eyes?
